Le Coussin Yalla

There's a french song that particularly moves me: it's Yalla from Calogero
Il y a une chanson que j'aime et qui m'émeut particulièrement: c'est Yalla de Calogero.

For a special request, I decided to create a new Little B accessory and chose to interpret this song with my threads, my yarn and my emotions.

Pour répondre une commande, j'ai décidé de créer une nouveauté Little B en choisissant d'interpéter cette chanson à ma façon, laissant mes fils, mes laines et mes émotions me guider.

And the most important: Yalla. This word was the favourite word of Soeur Emmanuelle, a very charismatic religious lady who took care of orphans in Egypt and Turkey. It means "Let's go, believe and do something with your life". It's hard to translate, it's full of strenght and optimism.

Et le plus important de tous: Yalla. Ce mot était le mot préféré de Soeur Emmanuelle. Il signifie "Vas-y, crois en toi et en la vie". Il n'est pas facile à traduire, mais il est rempli de force et d'optimisme.

I chose to embroider lots of curves because they bring a sweet, loving cozy aspect to the design and represent well the atmosphere of the song.

J'ai choisi de broder beaucoup d'arrondis, synonymes de douceur, d'amour, de quiétude.  Je trouve qu'ils représentent bien l'atmosphère de la chanson.

I think the person who will receive this cushion should like it. I have to admit, for once, I like it very much myself.

Je crois que la personne à qui est destiné ce coussin l'aimera. Je dois reconnaître, que perso je l'aime énormément.

The back of the cushion is knitted with mohair and is incredibly soft.

J'ai tricoté le dos tout en mohair tout doux.
